A VST Goniometer and Phase Correlation Meter is an indispensable visual monitoring tool used in audio mixing and mastering to analyze the stereo width, channel balance, and phase relationships of your mix. It prevents phase cancellation, ensuring your music sounds great on standard stereo monitors and mono playback devices like smartphones, club sound systems, and Bluetooth speakers. 📊 The Component Tools

A combined meter plugin generally displays two distinct sections: 1. The Goniometer (Vector Scope / Phase Scope)

Historically built using an oscilloscope, it charts the left and right audio channels against a 45-degree angled grid to generate a live shape known as a Lissajous figure.

Vertical Line: Fully mono signal. Left and right channels are identical.

Diagonal Line: Hard panned signal. A line leaning left means audio is only on the left side, and vice versa.

Horizontal Line: Total anti-phase. The channels are identical but inverted, which causes absolute cancellation in mono.

A “Ball” or “Cloud” of Energy: Healthy stereo field. It should look vertically oriented but wide. 2. The Correlation Meter Goniometer & Correlation Meters
